Highlands School, is currently accepting applications for the position IT Support Specialist with an immediate start date. This position reports to The Director Operations and Finance and is responsible for assisting in the installing, maintaining and supporting all technology systems at the school. This job requires a great attitude, professional appearance, solid work ethic and a desire to be challenged. You must be able to provide clients with an excellent service experience.  This is a full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package. Our primary working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The IT Support Specialist is required to work to ensure all teachers and students have access to appropriate educational technology resources.  The IT Support Specialist is also responsible for assisting in ensuring that all school administrators and business officers have access to efficient and modern information systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND DATA MANAGEMENT

Provide guidance to the School Administration in the implementation of technology and the data management needs of the school:

  • Assist in evaluating current programs, assess needs, and prepare for future implementations.
  • Assist in coordinating the implementation of the student information system and other school databases
  • Assist in coordinate the accurate submission and extraction of data for school, state, and federal reporting.

TRAINING AND SUPPORT OF FACULTY & STAFF IN THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY

  • Provide training and ongoing support to ensure teachers are proficient in integrating technology in the classroom to improve student achievement.
  • Assist in providing advice and implementation assistance to staff offices in using technology to streamline work processes.

HARDWARE & SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE

  • Assist in performing all functions and procedures necessary to install and maintain all school technology systems (hardware, software and related peripherals)
  • Assist with the planning, design and installation of future technology system expansions as growth demands
  • Coordinate and maintain all technology-related vendor relationships.
  • Assist with other technology support-related tasks as needed
