Position Summary:

Has primary responsibility for monitoring and maintaining many critical Windows servers and assists as needed with Linux servers. Provides user support to desktop/laptop computer systems, performing installation and maintenance of software and hardware. Supports division staff by troubleshooting and configuring systems (MS Office, browsers, e-mail clients, etc.). Recommends computer systems and related software and peripherals. Takes turns with other OIS team members to be on call on nights and weekends in case of critical emergency with server systems.

Required Qualifications:

Significant experience supporting and maintaining Windows servers, Windows desktop, and MacOS. Significant experience supporting and maintaining web applications in Microsoft Windows and Linux environments. Experience with Linux. Experience with endpoint management tools (i.e. Kaseya, SCCM, Big Fix, etc.). Experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy. Experience implementing security best practices. Experience diagnosing and repairing computer hardware. Working knowledge of modern scripting languages (i.e. PowerShell). Able to work independently and effectively with a broad range of computer users and provide high quality technical support. Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment and acquire new skills as needed. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to interact comfortably and courteously with individuals in a diverse multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows IIS/Microsoft SQL Server and LAMP application stacks. In depth knowledge of patch management tools like Kaseya and Microsoft SCCM. In depth knowledge of Ubuntu/CentOS Server and Landscape management tools. In depth knowledge of the TCP/IP suite, IPv6, firewall and VPN configuration and maintenance. Experience with Wordpress and Joomla CMS software. Working knowledge of web languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript, .NET, PHP, etc.).
