Job Description:

  • Installs, tests and troubleshoots new and existing data and phone circuits using category cable, fiber optic cable and outside plant cable for wireless access points, cameras, end users equipment, servers, and other network related equipment.

  • Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair as necessary including wireless access points, cameras and other network related equipment.

  • Prepares documentation in a variety of electronic and written formats(ex:  daily paperwork log, time and material sheets, circuit activation sheets)

  • Will work independently and in team environment

 

Qualifications
Requirements: 
  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent related experience

  • Current unrestricted State of Tennessee Driver’s License

  • Must be able to climb ladders and be at heights up to 50’

  • Lift up to 50lbs

  • Able to stand, kneel, crawl, and walk for extended periods of time. 

  • Work in all weather conditions

  • Use hand tools including power tools and specialty tools

  • Able to differentiate between colors

  • Fill out paperwork on a daily basis

  • Work overtime as needed including nights, holidays and weekends

  • Able to work a rotating 24-7 on-call schedule

  • Good customer service and communication skills

  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions, policies and procedures

  • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
