e are looking for a suitably qualified person to fulfill the above position at the College as soon as possible.

Scope of Duties include but not limited to:

  • Develop annual technology goals and detailed plans for goal accomplishment Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organisation and adhere to all organisational standards
  • Staff Leadership and Management including staff appraisals, disciplining, pay reviews and career development and training
  • Manage department performance and objectives
  • Provide direction, guidance and support to the department to ensure alignment with the company’s overall strategy
  • Budget Management i.e. Set, implement and manage operational budget for the division
  • Research and development as well as planning.
  • Managed cost and operational efficiency on all support practices
  • Provided reports and budget forecast to senior management.
  • Managed research and development team and implemented latest technology and procedures
  • Needs assessment analysis.

Software Management:

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows applications and systems.
  • Manage and maintain software licenses and repository

Network Management:

  • Manage the acquisition, installation and maintenance of the organisation’s local area network hardware/software.
  • Manage network operations to include: troubleshooting connectivity problems, installing and maintaining routers, adding/terminating users, assigning rights and access, re-setting passwords; establishing e-mail addresses, assessing and reporting operational status, performing backups and restores.

Service Agreements and Contracts:

  • Ensure technology documents/certificates such as product registrations, SSL certificates, maintenance agreements, and service contracts related to technology operations and/or technology services are evaluated, updated and processed.
  • Ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements. Manage and safeguard software media and associated licenses. Track software versions. Maintain centralised software use log.

Policies and Procedures:

  • As needed and appropriate but no less than annually, provide written technology policy guidance to managers, supervisors, staff and consumers/participants.
  • Develop and maintain technology policies, standards and procedures manual; develop and maintain related technology checklists.
  • Security – IT Policies and Procedures, Password Policies, Asset and Inventory Control.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage and Maintain Asset register / Inventory.

Web:

  • Managed the Design and maintenance of web-based applications including websites and intranets from the infrastructural perspective.

IT Technical Maintenance:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software.
  • Present and implement technological alternatives to streamline functions and improve productivity.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting workstations, networks, software applications, phones, copiers and other technologies.
  • Manage technology inventory to include procurement and disposal.
  • Active Directory Exposure – Install, Configured Maintained Domains, using windows 2012 server – both standard and Enterprise Environment, this includes scripting, Group policy management, FSRM, WSUS, etc.
  • Exchange Exposure – Install, Configured and maintained Exchange Server 2010, 2013 and 2016.
  • Create and maintain LAN/WAN layouts.
  • Identify and recommended changes to best serve the processes and systems supporting the business.
  • Improved departmental processes, and assign priorities in response to strategic business objectives.
  • Basic Linux server administration and support.
  • Wireless- Procure- install and configure and maintain enterprise wireless system.
  • Maintain and manage Opticon IP telephone system.
  • Firewall – Hands on administration of Fortigate Firewall.
  • Managed vendors and their service delivery including implementation and review of SLA agreements.
  • Responsible for general QOS on the IT Infrastructure.
  • Kaspersky Enterprise AV management.
  • Virtualization Rollout – Hyper V.
  • Manage Audio Visual requests and stock.
  • Helpdesk management – turnaround time, trend analysis and root cause detection.
  • DRP solution – maintain , manage and test.
  • Backup Solution – local and offsite – Maintain and test.

Educational Requirements:

  • Degree ( Science / IT related).
  • Certifications.
  • Networking.
  • Microsoft (Mcse 2012) or MCSE Private Cloud.
  • ITIL.
  • Telephony (IP).

Work Experience:

  • 5 years or more at a Senior Technical level.
  • 5 years or more at a Management level.
