The K-8 Educational Technologist's responsibilities will include:
➢ Providing support to The School's teachers and students in the creation, implementation, and use of the technology resources in classrooms
➢ Assist in the effective integration of technology; generally supporting classroom technology, while increasing each teacher's ability to support classroom technology
➢ Working with the Director of Innovation and Technology, and the other Educational Technologists to ensure that goals for the application of technology and general competencies are being met within a curricular framework
➢ Committing to an individualized professional development plan;
➢ Serving as a mutually respectful mentor to Associate Teachers and Interns
➢ Serving as a student advisor to middle division students and families
➢ Fulfilling all duties, responsibilities, and commitments as outlined in the Faculty Handbook
➢ Collaborating with other teachers in designing and implementing units of study in accord with The School's educational perspective and curricular architecture  
School for Children  
Bachelor's Degree  
➢ B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or university
➢ At least two years (or equivalent) of full-time experience developing curriculum focused on the purposeful use of technology
➢ At least two years full-time teaching experience in public and/or independent schools
➢ Knowledge of and experience within an educational setting in which integrated curriculum is designed and delivered
➢ Knowledge of and experience with traditional instructional practices for curriculum design and development
➢ Working knowledge of and experience with innovative pedagogy that makes use of digital technologies
➢ Appreciates value of a strong team and applies team building skills
➢ Excellent oral and written communications, listening, and interpersonal skills
➢ Appreciation of and advocacy for diversity within an urban school setting
➢ Ability to provide second-tier support for academic computing systems  
➢ Advanced degree in a related field
➢ Knowledge of Spanish
➢ Prior experience with Computer Science, Design & Fabrication, STEM/STEAM curriculum.
