Penryn College is an independent co-educational boarding school in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The College is linked to the Methodist Church; a global member of Round Square International and a member of ISASA.

Penryn College seeks to employ an innovative, resourceful and technologically astute individual who will drive the transformation of the Penryn media centre into a fully integrated knowledge hub.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities

Implement the changes necessary to transform the current media centre into a multi-use facility that will act as a knowledge and learning hub for the College and Prep school
Facilitate learning, research, projects and activities in the knowledge hub that underpin the academic requirements of the school
Manage the library and archives for the organisation including library books, text books, teaching resources and equipment
Qualities and competencies required

A relevant academic and professional qualification
Understanding of technology in education
A good understanding of cross-curricular teaching and facilitation
Ability to transform the traditional library into the new era of knowledge resourcing while retaining the strengths of the library function
Be committed to working in and with a team of hard-working professional teachers
Be prepared to commit to the ethos of the school and contribute meaningfully to the school’s co-curricular programme
Be an avid reader and have a good general knowledge
Have a valid SACE registration
The commencement date for this post is the 1st January 2017.
