Trident Academy, located minutes from downtown Charleston, SC, educates students in grades K through 12 who struggle with learning disabilities like dyslexia and ADHD.

Successful candidates will be dynamic, collaborative, inspirational and tech savvy educators. All applicants must have an academic background that includes an undergraduate degree.

Major Responsibilities:

  • To act as chief administrator of the school library
  • To make the setting as attractive and conducive to good study habits as possible
  • To aid all students in acquiring the skills needed to take full advantage of library resources
  • To provide books, educational supplies, and equipment that can effectively serve grades K-12
  • To collaborate with teachers to help integrate technology into a class’s curriculum
  • To advocate for new methods of information gathering by technology
  • Monitor Trident Academy’s Social Media Sites and Website
  • Distribute weekly and monthly newsletter to constituents

Job Type: Full-time

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Library Science (students working on the degree may apply)
  • Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Background in Special Education
  • Knowledgeable about Assistive Technology and Educational Technology
  • Experience with cataloging and collection development
  • AOGPE Associate Level: Trident Academy will train the right person
