St. Christopher’s school is seeking candidates for the position of Lower School Academic Technology Coordinator. Potential candidates will have a wonderful opportunity to work in an environment which has recently been recognized as the Spotlight School at the 2015 Lausanne Learning Institute.  The application deadline is April 20, 2016.
Position and Reporting:
The Lower School Academic Technology Coordinator is a member of the faculty and will work with the faculty, staff, and students during the academic year with some work over the summer.

 

This position reports to the Lower School Division Head and Director of Academic Technology.

 

While maintaining a broader JK-12 perspective as it relates to the Second Century Vision, the Lower School Academic Technology Coordinator will also work directly with the LS Instructional Technologist and Learning Commons Team. The synergy among all of these roles within the lower school is critical to this team requiring regular collaboration, evaluation, design and support of curricular and professional development objectives.

 

The Lower School Academic Tech Coordinator serves as the primary liaison with the Tech Squad (dept) and will collaborate with the Division Head on budget issues and major initiatives that may impact the division.

 

Experience:
Candidates should have experience working with Lower School students and teachers either as a lead teacher with technology and or an instructional technologist.  Candidates should be proficient in working with Windows, Apple OSX, iOS, GAFE, and Blackbaud’s onProduct environments.

 

Responsibilities:  
  • Serve as primary tech leader for the Lower School
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and representative for the Lower School at weekly tech squad meetings
    • Forecast tech needs for multi-year budget and hardware cycles for LS
    • Manage the LS Tech Budget
  • Maintain and update LS student information system-onCampus, onRecord
    • Contacts Blackbaud for support
  • Serve as a BUILD (Boys Using Innovation to Learn and Design) representative for the Lower School
  • Serve as co-administrator for a variety of online resources (GAFE, VoiceThread, WeVideo…)
  • Serve as the primary contact for tech support
    • direct support to faculty and staff
    • troubleshoots hardware and software issue
    • contacts the IT Manager, Network Administrator, or Director of Academic Technology as needed
  • Educates the LS Community including parents on best practices of digital citizenship
  • Works with 2 grade levels as part of the Learning Commons Team
