The William Penn Charter School seeks a full-time Lower School Technology Coordinator to lead and support innovative technology teaching and learning for grades pre-K to 5. Successful candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (graduate degree preferred) and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably some in a Lower School setting. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in educational technology, ability to lead and manage change, excellent interpersonal skills, flexible and creative thinking, and the ability to facilitate collaboration. Familiarity with the principles and practices of the Religious Society of Friends is highly desirable. This position will begin in August, 2017. Additional responsibilities include:

 

  • Teach students basic technology and coding skills and problem solving using design thinking and lead an after school innovation-based student enrichment group.
  • Support technology integration efforts by actively partnering with Lower School faculty and students in the development and implementation of new innovative learning opportunities.
  • Manage the Lower School Idea Lab maker space (including supply maintenance and schedule) and collaborate with the Middle and Upper School Idea Lab coordinator to further school initiatives outlined in the Strategic Vision.
