Brief description:

The Technology Integration Facilitator at ISL focuses on the integration of technology into the curriculum. As resource person for students and teachers, the Facilitator is responsible for coordinating, organizing and facilitating the effective utilization and integration of instructional technology within the school setting.

Profile: (training, experience, skills and aptitudes necessary to do the job)

Current teaching certificate or equivalent;
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (MA preferred);
Experience in collaborative curriculum work in a school environment;
Experience teaching/working with students ages (3-11), preferably for more than 2 years;
Good ICT skills and good knowledge on recent developments in ICT integration into curriculum especially in Math and Science;
Experience working in an international school environment as responsible for technology and information literacy;
Knowledgeable about international school curricula;
Understanding of differentiation to support and enrich student learning;
Very good interpersonal and communications skills;
Near native English speaker;

Among main responsibilities

Collaborate with teachers to design, implement and promote ICT and information literacy throughout the School;
Assist teachers to identify their needs related to technology and information literacy;
Develop strategies to improve teachers' ICT skills;
Support teachers developing projects specific to their curricular objectives;
Promote a wide range of resources which help to integrate technology into the curriculum;
Design and implement technology and information literacy professional development opportunities based on identified areas of need and interest;
Work with curriculum committees and/or grade level teams to expand ICT and information literacy skills;
Promote technology and information literacy in the wider school community;
Propose software and hardware purchases for review by Principals and the Head of ICT;
Other duties as Director, US Principal or Head of ICT may assign.
