Riverdale Country School seeks a Lower School Technology Integrator. This full-time position is located at our Lower School campus and is available immediately. The Lower School Technology Integrator reports to the Co-Directors of the Technology Department and works closely with the Director of Academic Technology as well as with administrators, teachers, and students in the Lower School.

This is a temporary position, contracted through June 30, 2016. It is possible that the right candidate could become a permanent employee, and we hope this would be the case.

The Lower School Technology Integrator inspires, encourages, and supports Lower School faculty in their educational use of technology, while simultaneously providing academic and administrative Level 1 tech support. Therefore we seek a candidate with flexibility, broad experience, a positive attitude, and a burning desire to help people use technology well.

Responsibilities
Help grow our LS academic tech initiatives
Promote technology use, but only when it supports excellent teaching and learning
Support teacher-driven classroom initiatives that incorporate technology
Partner with teachers to build classroom tech initiatives
Provide technological professional development for faculty and administration
Train students, faculty, and administration to use hardware or software in one-on-one or group settings
Test, troubleshoot, and support hardware including Promethean Boards, SMART Boards, Mac laptops, iPads, and other miscellaneous devices
Test, troubleshoot, and support multiple software and systems
Collaborate closely and effectively with administrators, teachers, and students
Support the needs of the Technology Department and Lower School as required

Possibilities
Teach or co-teach technology classes to Lower School students
Create new avenues of technological professional development and training for RCS employees
Lead after-school technology activities for LS students
Specialize in discipline-specific applications of technology (Arts, Science, etc.)
Find other ways to incorporate exciting applications of technology into the Lower School

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Three years of experience supporting teachers, students, and administrators in their use of technology, as well as troubleshooting and supporting technology infrastructure in an academic environment
Demonstrated experience building and conducting training for faculty and administration
In-classroom experience teaching students
Ability to work in and support varied computing environments including Mac, Windows, iOS, and others
Exceptional collaborative skills, interpersonal abilities, and patience
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills, including ability to work on multiple projects and follow through to completion
Self-motivation and ability to work independently or collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and parents
Desire to learn and to stay abreast of emerging technologies
