The Makerspace Coordinator and Help Desk Assistant position is a full time position reporting to and working closely with the Director of Technology. Responsibilities include working maintaining the school’s website in accordance with the school calendar of events, meeting with the STEAMTeam to support all EdTech initiatives, and working with the Administration team to plan and execute marketing strategies, goals, social media outreach, and other communications. Involvement in most aspects of 1 to 1 Surface Pro program is also a part of this position.

Candidate should have knowledge of educational technology integration. Robotics/Makerspace and Programming/Coding required. Must be able to work with students and faculty of all skill-levels of technology use. Familiarity with Windows/MAC/ IOS/CHROME-OS/ANDROID. Versatility, collaboration, and openness to innovative technology practices and procedures is essential. Experience in a school environment is required. Web design, film and AV experience, and relative certifications are a plus.

Essential Duties

Supervising school MakerSpace with an eye to working with students and teachers on exciting projects which integrate with academic curriculum.
Maintaining the school’s website. It must be current and up-to-date at all times.
Creating and adhering to a plan that details the timeline of the website for the current year as well as the upcoming year as dates become available.
Collaborating with the Director of Communications in regards to photos and images used in communications.
Working closely with the Communications Department to strategize and plan social media usage and communication goals.
Curating student and teacher digital work for the purposes of showcasing the many great projects, lessons, and activities that happen at Holy Child on a public forum. This curation should be easy to find directly through our website as well as be SEO-friendly.
Working to create various and inventive ways to have online campus tours.
Learning components of the student database system (Veracross), as assigned by the Director of Technology, to support administration with various tasks.
Helping to maintain an inventory of all technology devices throughout the campus and work with the Technology Team to keep records current as mobile devices change status and ownership.
Providing technical support to faculty and staff as assigned.
Assisting with planning, organizing, scheduling and other components of 1 to 1 program.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Supporting the school and its leadership.
