This Manager II position will be accountable for improving student achievement through effective management of the District’s network and telecommunication services including the District’s internet, wide area network, core switches and firewall services, sites’ wired and wireless networks, and telecommunication services. Fresno Unified is a large, enterprise so a high-degree of collaboration within the I.T. department and across departments is required to ensure students experience high-quality digital learning environments. This includes the following responsibilities: coordinate, plan, manage network services with activities such as establishing standards, defining configurations, and managing refresh of network assets; ensuring compliance with applicable federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations; ensuring effective use of grants, subsidies and bond funds to keep network current; as well as supervise, provide clear work direction and evaluate the performance of assigned staff to provide timely delivery of high quality services.
