An independent, co-educational school situated in the Queenstown, Eastern Cape, leading in the integrated use of technology in education.

Due to the expansion of the school, a vacancy exists for the following position

Manager:  Information Technology

Commencement date: 1 November 2016.

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for:

Implementing and maintaining Get Ahead Project’s technology infrastructure.
Driving a central information processing system to support efficient data management and communications across the schools.
Monitoring the three Get Ahead Schools’ operational requirements, researching strategies and technology solutions, and building the most cost-effective and efficient system to achieve our Strategic Priorities.
Keeping up with 21st century innovation by managing technology resources and staff across the three schools to ensure that Get Ahead Schools are regarded as leaders in Education.
Requirements:

BSc Degree in Computer Science or proven equivalent work experience in Management Information Systems
Proven experience as an IT manager or in a relevant position
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
Expertise in data centre management and data governance
Hands – on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
Innovative person who will drive 21st century technology across the three schools in line with strategic objectives and teaching pedagogy
Ability to lead and manage people
Salary:

A market related salary will be negotiated depending on qualifications and experience
