Summary of Duties and Responsibilities |
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) at Iowa State University is seeking candidates for a Manager Information Technology II position. The Manager Information Technology II is primarily responsible for directing multiple managers who are responsible for all college level and department level information technology (IT) operations in LAS. The manager will oversee teams that analyze, design, and implement strategies for continuous deployments while ensuring high availability on production and pre-production systems. These teams also lead efforts in providing and maintaining reliable environments that are fully automated and free from obstacles. These teams provide core computing, network services, enterprise systems, high performance computing, and data storage, and information security resources to students, faculty, and staff. The manager interacts with Information Technology Services on a regular basis. The successful candidate will possess the ability to collaboratively lead people toward the completion of projects; strong presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively. Candidates should also have strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and knowledge of IT Service Management and supporting frameworks. |
