Position Summary

Charlotte Latin School is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and flexible Middle School Educational Technology Coordinator. This is an 11 month position that begins August 2018.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach 1-2 core Middle School classes as well as facilitate a MS Advisory group
  • Provide Educational Technology guidance and expertise for grades 6-8 faculty, especially in the areas of iPads, MacBooks, and Google Suite.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to design, develop, and deliver Educational Technology initiatives that align to the mission of the school and the needs of the classroom
  • Support Educational Technology use within Middle School through daily advising, collaborating, and training teachers both in and out of the classroom
  • Lead the Middle School in administering and fully utilizing the school’s Learning Management System (LMS) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) system
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of current and future uses of Educational Technology at the Middle School
  • In partnership with K-12 Ed Tech Department, research and propose new technologies that enhance teaching and learning
  • Function as a liaison to the IT department, and the Upper and Lower Schools by serving as a member of the K-12 Ed Tech Department
  • Comply with school policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as needed
Qualifications

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Master’s preferred
  • Five plus years of well-rounded experience in education, with at least 3 years in the classroom; ideally with Independent schools
