Phoenix Country Day School is seeking a Middle School Innovation and Technology Teacher for the 2016-17 school year. The position will involve the following responsibilities:

Teach coding, programming, and design to students in grades 5-8
Utilize 3-D printing and 3-D modeling software
Provide level 1 technical support to middle school teachers using Mac and PC, in addition to providing consultative support to teachers seeking to implement new technology applications in their classrooms
Support teachers and students in their use of Canvas
Manage laptop care/storage/inventory as well as printer maintenance
Instruct students in the use of Google docs, word processing, and other relevant applications
Teach Internet safety, copyright infringement, and referencing sources
Conduct middle school library services, including book check-out, circulation, and ordering of new books and materials

The ideal candidate will:

Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with a master’s or advanced degree preferred
Seek to discover and integrate innovative technologies that spur the intellectual and social/emotional growth of middle school students
Exhibit a strong desire to be part of a team and to embody the mission and philosophy of PCDS
Display exceptional organizational skills and conscientiousness
