A Middle School Technology Teacher and Makerspace Manager is an engaging educator capable of teaching 5th – 8th Grade Computer Science and coding classes. Candidates should also be well versed on MakerSpaces, 3D Printing and other emerging technologies in education.  They should be familiar with best teaching practices and Understanding By Design as well as meaningful uses of technology to enhance student learning. The MS Technology Teacher and Makerspace Manager is a Middle School faculty position and reports to the Middle School Division Head and the Director of Academic Technology. Demonstration of strong classroom management skills, an investment in continued professional growth, and a commitment to promoting a diverse community are expected. All Middle School teachers are expected to be active community members, share supervisory duties, serve as advisors, and provide general support and care of the school community.  A graduate degree in education and/or technology, a minimum of 3-5 years classroom teaching experience, as well as significant experience in technology in education is desired.
