St. Catherine’s School seeks a Network Administrator to begin work in the 2015-2016 school year.

St. Catherine’s School seeks a Network Administrator responsible for all aspects of network administration including servers, desktop systems, communications hardware/software and office systems. This position will report to the school’s Network Manager and the Director of Technology.

St. Catherine's School is an Episcopal day school in Richmond, Virginia, founded in 1890 and enrolling 961 girls in grades JK-12. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide network administration (including backup and recovery, security management, user account management, internet access, office systems and Google applications support).
Support Window/VM servers, network and desktop hardware, software and applications.
Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex network problems for a variety of end users, recommend and implement corrective solutions.
Roll out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, etc.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and to ascend a ladder.
Adapt to new and evolving technology, and ability to demonstrate innovation and vision related to the efficient processing of information related to this role.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Business Administration; supplemented by one or more courses in current technology.

Experience:

Considerable (5 years) and current experience as a Network Administrator on a medium-sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies.

Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of Windows/VM servers and Windows/Mac desktop products.
Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users.
Demonstrated knowledge of iOS, Mac and Chromebook management.
Demonstrated ability to administer network firewalls.
Demonstrated ability to support networked printers and photocopiers.
Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies.
Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors.
Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
Facilitation and change management skills.
Highly developed verbal and written communications.
