Saddle River Day School, a co-ed, independent, K-12 school, located in Saddle River, New Jersey seeks a creative technology professional to join its Tech Department. The successful candidate will be high energy, proactive, and interested in working with both students and faculty in addition to managing various critical technology systems. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills are a must. The ideal candidate will be curious about innovative implementation of technology and willing to learn a wide array of hardware and software to support the school’s infrastructure. Prior experience working in independent schools a plus. Familiarity with Blackbaud (Whipple Hill) a major plus. This is a 12 month position which reports to the Director of Technology.

General Responsibilities:

Organize and maintain the infrastructure of the school network, including Windows servers, switches, wireless access points, and VOIP phones
Direct long-term planning for network hardware & software
Provide technical support for faculty, administrators, and students
Manage inventory of hardware and software, including installations and updates
Manage network backup and security
Administer Active Directory and GAFE platforms
Develop and maintain working relationships with vendors
Required Skills

Comfortable with OS X, Windows 7/8/10, Windows Server 2012 environments
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
Familiarity with wireless networking
Experience supporting SMART Boards, projectors, iPads, digital cameras, printers, and AV equipment
Outstanding communication skills and detail-oriented work habits
Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s preferred

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
Understanding of 3D printing/Maker Movement
Creative problem-solving
Ability to work with deadlines under minimal supervision
Insatiable desire to learn
