Glenelg Country School is seeking a full-time, 12-month, Network Administrator to begin in January 2018.  Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, this position will be responsible for organizing, modifying and supporting the Enterprise computer systems, including but not limited to PCs, laptops, Windows Servers (physical and virtual), WAN/LAN/WLAN, firewall, Network Security and Active Directory in an educational environment. The position also serves as Level 2 Help Desk support.

Support LANs, WANs, VPNs, and Internet connectivity (networking) · Review and maintain system backups/restores · Maintain organization of IT Department to include workspace, server room and network closets · Help troubleshoot problems reporting by users via phone, email, and in-person · Maintain inventory, support contracts, and make recommendations for future upgrades · Maintain network and system security · Manage Active Directory to include users, groups, OUs and group policy · Work with software and hardware vendors to request and manage support requests · Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, network equipment, security updates, and patches · Provide new user setup and provisioning of computers (Kace) · Maintain hardware/software inventory · Maintain Application Servers (AutoDesk Licenseserver, WebServer, TLC, Blackbaud FE/RE, OPS HVAC Server) · Project work as needed/assigned · Other duties as needed/assigned

Successful candidates will be skilled in the following areas:

Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 · Powershell scripting · Active Directory, DNS, DHCP · VMWare/HyperV Administration · Windows 7/10 Administration · Group Policy · LAN/ WAN/ WLAN (HP/Aruba experience a plus) · Basic Networking/Switch/Router/Firewall Administration · Backup/DR Technologies (Rapid Recovery) · Security/Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware (Carbon Black, Kaspersky, ATP, Powerbroker) · Office 365 Administration · Azure experience a plus

Qualifications and Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, preferred; Associate’s Degree, required · 3-5 years System Administration experience in a midsize corporate environment · Technical certifications a plus (MCP, A+, etc.) ·Built in-depth knowledge of all software used in the Enterprise in order to provide technical support a plus
