Gilmour Academy has an immediate opening for a Network Administrator to maintain a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the company phone system and video/access control management system

  • Respond to network connectivity issues

  • Ensure daily network security and operational connectivity

  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors on equipment, installation and services

  • Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords

  • Configure firewalls, routers, and switches

The ideal candidate must possess demonstrated success in the following:

  • Managing customer expectations and taking responsibility for a high level of customer service.

  • Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching.

  • Identification, analysis and resolution of problems, driving solutions through to completion

  • Knowledge of best practices around management, control and monitoring of the infrastructure

  • Ability to set up and configure hardware

  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methods

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask

  • Cisco VoIP phone system, Cisco Meraki Switches, VMware, Active Directory, G-suite, Access Points

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science

  • CCNA Certificate, preferred – not required

Physical Demand:

  • Lift, carry, push, install or remove objects weighing 20 to 50 pounds

  • Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl

  • Use of a video display terminal for extended periods of time
