Mount Pisgah Christian School (MPCS) has commenced a search for a Network Engineer.  This position will be responsible for and provide implementation and support of the corporate LAN and WAN, including network security, remote access, routing, switching, virtual environments, and other technologies as necessary.
 
The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude regarding resolving issues and providing support to others. Ideally, the candidate will be blessed with high energy, a warm, engaged collaborative style, and a sense of humor.   The position will report to the Director of Technology. 
 
The preferred candidate will have:
 
·         3+ years of system administration of network and/or communication systems, including local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems
·         Experience implementing and supporting physical and virtual environments (VMware is a plus)
·         Demonstrated proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting other network technologies (QoS Voice/Applications/Wireless, VPNs, DNS, LDAP, Group Policy, Trusts)
·         Experience administering and troubleshooting Exchange 2007/2010 server implementations
·         Experience providing large-systems backup and recovery
·         Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, and network components.
·         Experience troubleshooting and resolving network issues remotely
·         Demonstrated self-initiative and ability to work without constant supervision
 
Position Requirements:
 
·         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study that provides substantial knowledge useful in administering large, complex networks, and/or in a computer science, information system, engineering or mathematics-intensive discipline
·         Experience with current technologies and, where required for the task, emerging technologies. Five years of related experience, including military training, can be substituted for education
·         An applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
