The Network Engineering group is responsible for the end to end operation of UMBC's wired and wireless network. This group collaborates extensively with the rest of the division and the campus community on initiatives around cloud computing, end user security, network mapping, deployment of new technologies and advancing research. 

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's Degree preferably in an IT related field.  

At least two years (three preferred) experience working in an IT organization in a job related to networking.

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience working with various network technologies and protocols.

  • Programming language knowledge and experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of network centric applications such as DNS, DHCP, Radius would be preferable.
