Job Description

Bullis School seeks innovative, energetic and visionary candidates to facilitate implementation and coordination of the emerging Bullis Online Learning Program.  This 12-month position begins in July 2016 and will provide program strategic planning and coordination of an online learning program.  This will include instructional support to faculty in the design, development and delivery of online credit-bearing courses and enrichment/review modules of subject-specific curriculum.  Other key duties include designing, developing and delivering workshops and online training to faculty and staff in the use of instructional tools and strategies for online and blended learning education.

The Online Learning Coordinator will work to ensure quality standards in online development and teaching are maintained through implementation and management of peer review development teams, observation teams, evaluations, and surveys.

Skills & Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess at minimum of a master’s degree in instructional design/technology or related field or a combination of a bachelor’s degree and certificate of program completion in instructional design/technology. In addition, a minimum of two years’ experience in online teaching (preferably K-12) and at least two years’ work experience to include instructional design and/or online curriculum development is required.  Demonstrated leadership, organization and oral/written communication skills are a must, as well as the demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and the public.
