The College invites applications for the following position which will be available from September 2016.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills and competencies to take on this position.

The requirements of the position:

Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential
Working knowledge of Pencil Box School administration system or similar system
Excellent command of English (verbal and written communication) is essential
Exceptional planning and organising skills, with attention to detail and a good work ethic
Good inter personal skills and the ability to interact with students and staff at all levels
Confident individual with strong administrative ability and the capacity to work under pressure
Flexible to work outside of normal office hours as and when required
Your role will include but will not be limited to:

General database administration, data capture and learner data updates
Marks administration and markbook set up
Allocating students and staff subjects, classes and photographs
Learner and staff support
Printing of termly reports
Computer lab management and printer support
Basic desktop publishing e.g. Mail merging & design of certificates, posters, invitations, event programs
IEB On-Line Learner Registration, for Grade 9 (GET) and Grade 12 (NSC) and the managing of changes until the end of year, when all marks are submitted to the IEB
Having worked in an educational context would be a distinct advantage
A sound and progressive understanding of the South African curriculum and international trends in education
Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate
A willingness to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College as well as to participate in the broader life of the school
