Job Description

J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute (Edson E+I) within the Knowledge Enterprise is seeking a Program Coordinator Sr to join their Youth Entrepreneurship (YE) team. Under the direction and guidance of the Program Manager, Virtual Learning + Engagement, as the Program Coordinator Sr, you will assist in supporting the grant-funded school programs within Edson E+I. Additionally, you will ensure that the goals and objectives of the program are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time limitations, funding limitations, or other specifications. 

 

This is a grant-funded position and is contingent on future grant funding.

 

Salary Range

$42,552 - $52,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties

Strategic (10%) 

  • Support the program recruitment process. 
  • Provide outreach to community stakeholders to market program opportunities to school administration (School board members, superintendents, etc.) 
  • Develop and provide recommendations for strategic investments in emerging technologies and tools for inclusion in programs. 
  • Forge and maintain powerful relationships with external partners including program delivery partners, school administration and others. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal staff and faculty across the university to engage the broader ASU community in youth entrepreneurship programs. 

Programmatic (80%) 

  • Support program implementation in Lab and Expansion schools.
  • Identify and share lessons, activities and projects utilizing technology including but not limited, VR/AR, 3D printing, Arduino Kits, and Snap Circuits. 
  • Coordinate events including showcases, ribbon cutting, etc. in a virtual setting if in-person is not available. 
  • Coordinate workshops including institute training, professional development for partners. 
  • Develop regular communication with various stakeholders and partners. 
  • Develop process improvement plans for school (teacher and student) support and programming. 
  • Develop processes and procedures for project scaling. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and support for portfolio of regional program schools.
  • Coordinate school support via digital platform on weekly/monthly basis as well as upon request. 
  • Coordinate virtual site visit logistics and planning for Edson E+I YE team. 
  • Lead, co-facilitate and support classroom instruction for schools. 
  • Gather feedback, data and information regarding school engagement including number of participants, teacher effectiveness, timeline of implementation, and program deliverables. 
  • Support in collecting data for core deliverables related to various programs. 
  • Synthesize and analyze qualitative and quantitative data trends to create iterative changes within programs, as well as understand the scope and scale of programmatic impact within various communities. 
  • Track program data, performance and evaluation and document qualitative and quantitative program features for reporting and development purposes. 
  • Support Edson E+I YE team with best practices and technology research and implementation. 
  • Communicate and act as a representative of ASU with key stakeholders. 
  • Develop and deliver content at presentations, training, workshops, and professional development sessions. 

Other (10%) 

  • Support other ASU or community initiatives that align with the goals and mission of Edson E+I.
  • Represent Edson E+I and/or the YE team and serve on various department, unit, and university committees as requested. 
  • Perform other specialty projects within Edson E+I. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND four years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Eight years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Teaching experience.
  • Experience in presenting to large audiences.
  • Experience/interest in producing regular written or blog-style deliverables.
  • Experience working with Title 1 communities.
  • Experience with the learning management system (Canvas).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of issues pertaining to area of assignment. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of organizational practices. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supervisory practices and principles. 
  • Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Experience in coordinating and prioritizing work and activities of self and others. 

 

Working Environment

  • Work duties are performed in diverse settings including, ASU SkySong (Scottsdale, AZ), and various event/program locations. 
  • Regular activities include the use of office equipment including a laptop computer; subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • May require a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate events, projects, and initiatives.
  • Travel to campus and partner locations will be required.
  • Requires the ability to quickly change priorities.
  • Will include regular review of tasks.
