York Country Day School seeks a candidate who is an independent yet highly collaborative creative thinker, comfortable with 21st century technology and committed to a multidisciplinary approach to teaching. This candidate will have the opportunity to build both engineering and robotics programming and work in our state-of-the-art laboratory space. The candidate will continue to vision and add to our strategic plan for this program, design curriculum, instruct students, and provide professional development for faculty Pre-Kindergarten-12, as related to the Engineering and Robotics program. The Program Director reports to the Head of School and works closely with the administrative team (especially division heads) and coordinates instruction and curriculum with PreK-5 Engineering and Robotics faculty.

Candidates for this position should be proven classroom teachers who are deeply knowledgeable about current and future trends in Pre-Kindergarten-12 education, including STEAM initiatives, and passionate about working with students and faculty across these grade levels. Candidates should have experience working with the FIRST Robotics program and possess strong communication skills. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated his/her ability to establish and maintain a rigorous academic program. Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, Master’s degree preferred.

York Country Day School serves over 230 students across three divisions. YCDS is an affiliate of York College of Pennsylvania and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools.
