Organization Overview:  Team4Tech is a US-based non-profit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities in developing countries.  We match technology industry volunteers with two-week immersive service opportunities with accredited non-profit clients.  Our volunteers leverage their technology skills and passions to make a difference in education.  As part of their immersive service learning experience, volunteers benefit from valuable training on topics including user-centered design, team-based problem solving in dynamic environments, and leadership that are useful during the project and back at work.

Position:  We are seeking a program manager to help source and manage our projects in the field. 

Location:  Redwood City, CA (with 8-12 weeks of developing country travel per year)

Responsibilities:

  • Source and scope non-profit projects that meet Team4Tech’s specified criteria
  • Collaborate with client non-profits to define productive and achievable project plans, and well-defined evaluation metrics around teaching and learning impact
  • Interface with technology partner companies to support project implementation from volunteer team selection through volunteer training, project implementation, and debrief
  • Lead 4-6 Team4Tech volunteer teams on two-week implementations in the field (volunteers are employees representing a wide range of roles from companies in the technology sector )

Desired qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in the education technology sector and/or start-up environments
  • Teaching experience, or equivalent volunteer work in education
  • Experience living and working in developing country environments
  • Maturity to guide senior executives in project implementation and reflective learning exercises
  • Passion for expanding educational opportunities for children around the world
