Information Technology invites applications for a Receptionist (Administrative Associate I) to provide administrative support to the Information Technology Budget Analyst and Chief Information Officer.

This position will manage the IT Administration front desk; acting as point of contact for IT Administration by answering department front desk phone; create and edit departmental correspondence; perform transactional level duties such as Procard and bill payment; manage Chief Information Officers meeting calendar; perform clerical duties such as filing and scanning; manage departmental electronic files; manage departmental travel forms; and place department supply orders.

This position requires incumbent to develop a working knowledge of Procard, Banner, GrizMart, UM Box.

  • Demonstrated skills in the operation of personal computers and related word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) with the ability to learn other software.

  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, initiative, judgment, independent thought and action, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. 

  • Ability to use standard office equipment including copiers, fax machine, ten-key adding machine, multi-line phone system.

 

Minimum Required Experience

  • High school diploma (or equivalency) in addition to one (1) year of closely related experience; or any combination of experience and education that provides the competencies necessary to successfully discharge the duties and responsibilities assigned to the position.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a higher education setting is preferred, but not required.

  • Familiarity with University of Montana policies and procedures is preferred, but not required.

  • Knowledge of University programs such as Banner, Procard, GrizMart, and UM Box is preferred, but not required.

Salary:  
$11.425/hr – Current employee’s rate of pay for this position will be determined by the staff compensation plan and may be different from the posted salary. For questions and details regarding the staff compensation plan, email the Compensation Department.

Probationary Period:
Six months minimum
