The role of the Registrar / Database Manager is to build the academic master schedule for all schools. Maintains and updates all student, family, faculty, donor and new student records. Reports to the Upper School Principal.  This is full-time 12 month position beginning immediately.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds the Academic Schedule for Lower, Middle and Upper School.  Maintains all corrections and adjustments through PowerSchool.  Timely distributes all schedules prior to the beginning of each semester

  • Communicates with Principals, Counselors and Learning Specialists regarding schedule changes

  • Maintains and updates all student, family and faculty records in PowerSchool.  Updates and maintains all information including student performance plans, attendance, grade and other relevant information

  • Maintains accuracy of donor records through advancement software, creates tax letters, runs donor reports

  • Works with the Admissions Director and Business Office to enroll new students in a timely and accurate manner

  • Provides staffing realignment recommendations related to academic scheduling

  • Assists the Development Office in analyzing donor reports and giving trends

  • Trains the trainers for PowerTeacher, assists with PowerTeacher and PowerSchool trouble shooting

  • Maintains Parent Portal in PowerSchool and assists parents as needed

  • Creates and produces all PowerSchool reports such as report cards and transcripts.  Sends students transcripts as requested

  • Receives data from all standardized test scores and creates spreadsheets in user friendly format.  Uploads scores to PowerSchool and Naviance

  • Manages data input for Naviance, GAFutures and NCAA Clearinghouse

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area preferred

  • Experience in a school setting and knowledge of academic requirements for 6-12 grades

  • Experience with student data information systems or a comparable database system

  • Experience with PowerSchool required. Experience with RenWeb or a comparable system considered

  • Knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, spreadsheets and other data management and data extraction systems preferred

  • Extremely detailed oriented
