Description

 North Raleigh Christian Academy, a college prep Christian school in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an experienced robotics teacher and technology support professional for the 2020-2021 school year. NRCA is seeking ideal candidates that have a passion for education and working with students. The primary responsibilities of this position are to teach robotics engineering courses and administer our Windows infrastructure.
 

Requirements

Responsibilities 

  • teach both a Middle school and High school robotics engineering course 

  • manage and supervise the First Lego League robotics team 

  • manage all Windows servers using industry-standard best practices 

  • provide front-line support of Windows desktop clients for all administrative and teaching staff 

  • manage repairs and maintenance of physical servers, desktops, and laptop computers 

  • contribute to research and evaluation of new enterprise technologies, processes, and upgrades to the existing Windows infrastructure 

  • perform basic network troubleshooting 

  • provide occasional training for students, staff, and parents on various services or applications 

  • work closely with other Technology department staff to ensure all systems are operating effectively 

  • assist with modifying and updating technical documentation, training documents, and reference guides 

Qualifications 

  • extensive experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and Windows 10 clients 

  • working knowledge of Microsoft System Center: Configuration Manager 

  • experience with Microsoft DNS and DHCP servers 

  • experience managing Microsoft Hyper-V servers 

  • experience with Microsoft cloud services (Azure AD, Intune, Office 365, etc.) 

  • understanding of basic networking concepts 

  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • ability to effectively communicate complex computer literacy concepts to non-technical individuals 

  • strong work ethic and professional demeanor with the ability to work both independently and with a team 

  • Bachelor's degree required 

  • minimum of 3 years of previous systems administration or related experience, preferably in an educational setting 

 Spiritual Qualifications 

  • employee is a “born again” Christian, having repented and put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and is actively engaged in a local New Testament church as a member in good standing with a strong testimony 

  • employee believes the Bible is the inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God 

  • employee believes in creationism, the seven-day young earth account of Creation, as written in the Bible 

  • employee understands for the sake of being a good testimony and for the purpose of being a good role model that they will abstain from alcoholic beverages
