Position Description

The Senior Information Technology Manager is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of software & hardware systems for the graduate school, and direct support of the Dean’s Office staff. He/She is responsible for implementing University policies & procedures within the School and will provide expertise, direction and technical consultation for staff throughout school toward that end. Strong leadership skills necessary, as position performs with significant autonomy in the planning and management of large, complex projects that significantly impact entire school.

This individual must be able develop and implement integrative solutions for a variety of technical/informational challenges that arise

He/she will represent the school in interactions at all levels of the University and beyond.

Personnel responsibilities include the professional development and supervision of three full-time positions: web, data and desktop support.

Individual researches and plans the purchase and implementation of new software and hardware systems and equipment.

Requires a Master’s degree in computer/information science with five years experience in complex systems analysis, design, and integration. Project management experience, the ability to build consensus and to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders is a must.
