POSITION OBJECTIVE:
 

 

Employees in this classification are part of Campus Technology Support. Under general supervision, the purpose of this position is to maintain computer and other technology equipment for a specified department, division, campus or location. Provides hands-on technical support for designated coverage areas by following established college-wide standards and guidelines.
 

 

A knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures for installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, repairing computer hardware, software configuration, network components, audio/visual equipment, Windows Operating systems, OSX Operating systems, E-mail systems, scripting and Active Directory are required. Assists College community with efficient, effective and computer support by diagnosing and correcting hardware and software problems. Works within Campus Technology staff, along with other department staff and vendors. Performs related work as directed.

 

 

 

 

 


Job Requirements

 

 

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

 Associate's degree or formal technical training required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
 

 

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

 Two years of experience in maintaining and repairing computers, printers and audio/visual equipment.
 

 

MINIMUM CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:

 A+, N+, MCSA (Windows 7) - Epson Certification, Kramer/Extron Certification preferred.
