Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day to day operations, engineering, maintenance, planning, and support of the University’s Microsoft Office 356 environments.

  • Analyze, evaluate, and implement new Microsoft Azure and Office 365 features that provide value to the campus community.

  • Develop and maintain standards for user management, directory services, and security as they relate to Active Directory.

  • Assist with the migration of data into Office 365 cloud platform.

  • Provide system administration and support for all centrally managed windows servers and services. Ensure system patching and maintenance is performed in a timely manner.

  • Develop server and service lifecycle management plans.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting a Microsoft Windows Infrastructure.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Microsoft Office 365.

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, MS SQL, IIS, Terminal Services, and PowerShell.

  • Microsoft certifications, such as MCSA or MCSE. 

  • Information security certifications, such as CISSP or GIAC

  • Experience with enterprise level Identity Management

  • Experience with fiber channel and iSCSI SAN technologies.

  • Experience with large virtualized environments. 

  • Experience supporting virtual desktop environments.

  • Coordinate availability and performance monitoring of all Windows servers and services, and their associated SLAs.

  • Maintain a highly secure system through proper configuration and system access monitoring.

  • Work closely with other members of the infrastructure group to provide an integrated IT infrastructure.

  • Coordinate 24/7 on call support schedule and provide escalation as needed.

  • Develop proper documentation of systems, services, and integrations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years experience in computer system security, systems design, server management, networking protocols and programming. 

  • Knowledge of the design and functionality of Internet applications and protocols required. 

  • Highly developed problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills required.

  • Ability to adapt to new technology and maintain current in technical knowledge required.
