The Service Manager for Web Publishing collaborates with faculty and technologists, and supervises employees working on, with the creation and/or use of academic tools and technology projects to support the educational goals of the faculty, department, school, and University

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Education:
Master’s degree or Ed. D. in educational media, instructional technology, or related field strongly preferred.

Required Experience:
3-5 years relevant professional experience in higher education. Must include experience supporting faculty and students in the use one or more of the following: Web Publishing (WordPress, Wiki’s), and Digital Media and/or related platforms.

Preferred Experience:
5+ years professional experience providing instructional technology support in higher education institution with University level teaching experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Solid and current knowledge of instructional design principles. Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain high levels of creativity and quality. Ability to be flexible in work assignments that may require changing priorities regularly. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet project deadlines, stay on track, and communicate workflow obstacles while working on multiple ongoing projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail. Self-starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation. Ability to be proactive, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and work with little supervision. A positive, cooperative attitude that is supportive of the university and its mission.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience managing a portfolio of enterprise applications used to support teaching and learning in a higher education environment. Experience teaching college level courses.
