The University of Cincinnati's Department of Business Core Systems SAP Application Services is currently seeking a Software Applications Developer - ERP II.  Under general supervision from a designated administrator, this position will primarily be responsible for translating user system needs (systems analysis and development) into technical solutions by writing software applications, integrating systems, creating, modifying and/or supporting web-based applications.

 

Under general supervision, this position will be responsible for formulating and defining system developments and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex ERP systems.  Duties include but are not limited to: Identification and documentation of ERP system needs such as software enhancements, updates, fixes and new/additional modules, preparing detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written as well as designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining those programs; Diagnoses, resolves and documents ERP systems issues; Develops and supports integrations, conversions, reports, workflow, and custom development in the ERP environment; Provide secondary support for routine maintenance and upgrades; Design and coding of programs and projects; Assist in preparation of project/product lifecycle documents; Follow assigned priorities and where priorities are not assigned have the ability to organize and prioritize activities; Provide support to business owners by use of effective communication skills as well as presenting solutions to problems in a timely manner;  Communicate effectively and regularly with the ERP system team. This includes providing task details on a regular basis 

 

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years’ experience in intermediate to advanced level ERP applications programming.  Possesses a thorough understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures and contributes through experience, collaboration and problem resolution.  Experience with SAP ABAP programming.
