Glenelg Country School seeks a STEAM Coordinator to implement the academic goals of the Upper School STEAM program and manage the Innovation Lab where most of the Upper School STEAM courses are located. The Coordinator will teach and co-teach a variety of Upper School STEAM classes, oversee the resources and equipment of the Innovation Lab and help develop the implementation of new technologies and approaches to 21st century learning within and beyond the STEAM program. The successful candidate will have experience in additive/subtractive manufacturing (3D Printing, CNC Milling, Laser Cutting, etc.), Computer-Aided Design, basic computer programming (Arduino, Python, Linux development, C++, Java, R, MATLAB etc.), woodworking and robotics. A willingness to learn new tools and technologies and a passion for sharing them with teenagers are essential, as the ability to build relationships with students is at the heart of the GCS culture. The school seeks an educator who will embrace the highly collaborative ethos of the STEAM team and help envision new possibilities for teaching and learning across the Upper School curriculum.
