The Annunciation Day School is looking for a STEAM Coordinator/7th Grade Teacher.

Established in 2002, the Annunciation Day School is an accredited Christian private school serving over a hundred students in Preschool- 7th Grade. The school is expanding to 8th grade this coming Fall. The Annunciation Day School is known for its small class sizes, technology integration, and focus on students’ academic and social development. Teachers at the Annunciation Day School instill a passion for learning, creativity, and independent thinking through a holistic approach to education.

 

About the Annunciation Day School:

•   High academic achievement delivered through project based learning, state of the art technology integration, and a focus on STEAM.

•   Foreign Language (Greek) and Religion classes in all Elementary and Middle School grade levels

•   PE, Art, Music Classes

•   Clubs and Afterschool Program

 

General Responsibilities:

 

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in the content area to be taught (Science, Social Studies, Math).  The teacher must demonstrate flexibility and experience with a variety of levels of instruction. Experience in coordinating STEM and STEAM programs, events, and activities is a plus.

•   Establish guidelines for high quality work

•   Plan instruction that emphasizes critical thinking skills

•   Implement Promethean Instructional Technology in your classroom

•   Create project-based learning experiences for students

•   Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents

•   Assess student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals  

•   Model flexibility in implementing best learning practices in your classroom

•   Coordinate the STEAM program for the Annunciation Day School

•   Support the well-being of all students by creating a welcoming learning environment

•   Demonstrate interest and ability to lead student activities and contribute beyond the classroom

•   Provide opportunities for students to engage in community service projects

•   Actively support student learning by upholding the Annunciation Day School's mission

 

 

Position Qualifications:

All positions require a minimum of bachelor’s degree and valid, current Georgia teaching certification. Experience in a gifted education setting is desired. STEM-based and/or project-based learning experience is preferred.
