Summary Description: The Bishop’s School seeks two dynamic leaders to promote curricular innovation and lead discussion about the School’s STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) curriculum and its evolution. These faculty leaders will teach self-motivated, creative students and collaborate with passionate colleagues in the STEM disciplines and throughout the School.  

 

These new endowed faculty chair positions will enhance an already robust faculty cohort by adding particular expertise in design thinking, applied engineering and robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, and/or interdisciplinary program design.

 

Strong candidates will hold a master’s degree or higher and may come from industry as well as secondary or higher education; they will relish a unique opportunity to work closely with colleagues and develop innovative, state-of-the art curricular offerings. We seek candidates who are highly collaborative, innovative thinkers and have experience in or beyond independent school settings.

 

Successful candidates play an active role in both the middle and upper schools, in a rich, student-centered learning environment.
 
Qualifications: Strong candidates will hold a master’s degree or higher and have either a minimum of 5 years teaching experience, preferably at an independent school or a strong desire to teach with equivalent industry experience. An unequivocal passion for working with adolescents and supporting them in all facets of their lives is essential.
