Student Success Database Coordinator

HTS has an exciting opportunity for a full time Student Success Database Coordinator. This role is based in our Student Success office and primarily maintains our database; runs queries and generates reports related to the academic portfolio of the school, and supports the data entry needs of academic and operational departments. Additionally, this role will have time allocated to supporting some of the administrative function of the Student Success department.
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

Multi-system data entry as well as generating queries and reports related to programs and departments

Maintain data content integrity of database by reviewing, verifying, cross-referencing and correcting data; purge files to eliminate duplication of data

Implement the process for data entry and generate reports related to OUAC, OCAS, ONSIS, Ontario School Transcripts (OSTs), Ontario Student Records (OSRs), Report Cards, Timetables, CAIS National Tracking Project, Academic Achievements for Awards and School Celebrations, Community Service Hours and Ministry Inspection

Provide front line support to the Student Success team, and the student and parent groups inclusive of correspondence, responding to inquiries and some appointment scheduling
We are searching for team players that have:
-
A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, information technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1-2 years of professional experience working with a relational database such as Microsoft Access or Education Edge

Solid experience in creating database queries and reports

Substantial knowledge of spreadsheets and macros, knowledge of Crystal reports an asset

Strong interpersonal savvy with ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy

Excellent oral and written communication skills
