Supervisor of the Information Services Networking Department for Hammond, Westville, and remote PNW locations. Responsible for the supervision of the networking & and telecomm staff, evolution, security, and management of the campus data network.  Responsible for the management, installation, and maintenance of all data network electronic devices, and copper and fiber optic cable plants.  Responsible for the administration and management of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and enterprise network management tools.   Assist in the management of campus IT compliance (internal audit, PCI, HIPAA, FERPA, CALEA). Utilize quality systems and methods that ensure fast, reliable and secure systems while maintaining a customer focus. Off hours and weekend support availability required.  Must be available via cellular device with voice, text and E-mail capabilities. Traveling between campuses is required.

 

Core Competencies

Serve in a Senior Network Administrator or similar position demonstrating a successful record in the following areas: Supervising a network department, managing and maintaining a wired and wireless network infrastructure and related electronic devices, security devices, fiber optic and copper cable plants, IP distribution, Enterprise Network Management tools, Internet access and WAN connections in an organization of comparable size to PNW.  Proven experience managing a large and complex network

 

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field of study.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

 

Experience

3 years experience supervision of the Information Services Networking Department.  4-5 years of experience preferred.  Experience includes but is not limited to:  Management, installation, and maintenance of all data network electronic devices, and copper and fiber optic cable plants.  Administration and management of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and enterprise network management tools. Management of campus IT compliance (internal audit, PCI, HIPAA, FERPA, CALEA). Utilizing quality systems and methods that ensure fast, reliable and secure systems while maintaining a customer focus.
