TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE. Employee will provide technical consulting and training to COP faculty, staff, students and practitioners in the selection, acquisition, installation and application of computer hardware and software and in the design of telecommunication networks. Addresses help desk tickets and requests from college faculty, staff, and students regarding hardware, software, educational technology, website, digital signage, and telecommunications concerns. Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization’s hardware and software.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems; or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in information technology, education, office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, or processing of information in a data processing environment or another directly related field. Understanding of video conferencing, basic troubleshooting techniques, protocols, bridging, instructional design and application development are preferred. Experience with helpdesk software and be familiar with best practices, using and managing Blackboard, Adobe Connect, Audience Response Systems (TopHat) and Lecture Capture systems (Ensemble).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows Operating systems. Ability to present technical and non-technical reports in a clear and concise manner and ability to establish effective working relationships with management, faculty, staff, students and other users.
