JOB OVERVIEW

Villa Academy is hiring a Systems Analyst and Database Manager to work in its Technology Department. This person will oversee the flow of information in and out of systems used by Villa Academy, including Student Information Systems and connected databases in Business, Development, Admission, and other departments. This position oversees all software as a service (SaaS) accounts and administration, including Google Workspace administration, in a multi-platform environment. This position reports to the Director of Technology.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary administrator for SIS, including data flow with other systems

  • Primary Google Workspace admin (Gmail, Groups, Drive, Apps, and account management across two domains)

  • Provide assistance for new and existing SaaS services, software testing, evaluations, and purchases

  • Collaborate with development of documentation and instructions for tech systems and procedures

  • Plan, implement and assess training for systems’ users (employees and students)

  • Participate in Internet, website, and networking management and troubleshooting

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • A two or four year college degree is preferred

  • Background or experience in working with technology in an educational setting is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Outstanding organizational skills; ability to develop project work plans, handle multiple concurrent assignments, and meet competing deadlines with a high degree of attention to detail

  • The technology department is a highly collaborative environment; applicants must be flexible and comfortable with significant overlap of duties and responsibilities

  • Experience with multiple operating systems (MacOS, Windows, ChromeOS, etc.) preferred

  • Enthusiastic, positive demeanor, and desire for professional growth

Work Environment, Physical Demands and Additional Job Duties

  • This is an office environment with a shared work spaces

  • All employees at Villa Academy are required to be vaccinated and remain up-to-date with boosters for COVID-19, and maintain the school’s COVID safety protocols for the protection and safety of students and colleagues.

  • Physical demands include listening, talking, walking, sitting, standing, lifting modest payloads (rarely more than 25 lbs.), typing on keyboards, and occasionally operating a range of office equipment.
