General Description

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary data administrator and support specialist for information systems utilized by the College of Education (COE).

Essential Job Duties
  1. Complete data collection and systems integrations for projects related to graduate recruitment and enrollment as well as unit and program level accreditation;

  2. Manage the Recruit system for graduate programs in COE; evaluate and recommend data strategies to provide integration between Recruit and other applications as necessary;

  3. Manage multiple platform including LiveText assessment platform, Proethica and other third party learning systems used for discipline and specialty accreditation;

  4. Integrate multiple data systems, and generate reports for program and unit level assessment and planning;

  5. Compile reports to external agencies of state and federal government each semester;

  6. Produce standard informational reports each semester and respond to ad hoc information requests;

  7. Use query/reporting software to select data from UM databases and information systems to develop analytical research reports;

  8. Maintain appropriate documentation on support and business processes;

  9. Serve on College and departmental committees and projects as appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills; 

  • The ability to listen effectively and to understand complex issues;

  • Strong project management skills;

  • Strong research and analytical skills;

  • Experience with Microsoft Access, advanced Excel skills or SQL is required;

  • Tableau and survey software experience is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
