The Systems and Database Analyst reports to the Assistant Director for IT and is a key support position for the IT Department.
 
 
Position Description:
 
The Systems and Database Analyst is responsible for working collaboratively with the IT team, vendors and customers to maintain optimal database integrations and ensure accurate data is maintained for department applications.
Assist database administrators with planning and implementing seamless data migration and integration between transactional systems, operational data stores, and external applications as needed.
Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing database maintenance activities and upgrades.
Assist with general helpdesk calls and desktop support as needed for faculty and staff seeking technical assistance for campus technology issues.
Research emerging technologies and services that may be beneficial to the school.
 
Position Requirements:
 
An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
A minimum of one year of experience in enterprise data and application integration.
Experience with at least one common scripting language (Python, VBScript, etc.)
Familiarity with Triggers, Stored Procedures and Data Queries is preferred.
Familiarity with Oracle and SQL Server is preferred.
Familiarity with the education industry is preferred.
Must be organized and efficient, with demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver thorough and precise results.
Excellent communications and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to work with a diverse group of people.
Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to multitask.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
 
The Systems and Database Analyst position is a nonexempt, salaried, 12-month position. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. EOE.
