POSITION SUMMARY
The Systems / Marketing Technologist will be responsible for developing, executing, and tracking in/outbound marketing campaigns.  Systems / Marketing Technologist will work collaboratively with marketing operations and content and campaign staff to ensure content support ASCD’s brand guidelines and best practices, 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Systems / Marketing Technologist will have a broad understanding of ASCD’s educator audiences and assess the technical requirements from a marketing and sales perspective.
 

  • Develop, support, and maintain integrations amongst marketing and sales automation, content management, analytics, and marketing technology systems

  • Develop, support and own the data strategy including integrity and cleansing efforts across all systems

  • Becoming the resident expert on current and future digital tools to support our marketing initiatives

  • Help optimize and support system integrations for lead nurturing and demand generation workflows and campaigns

  • Conducting an audit of our current technical capabilities and how they map to our future plans

  • Translate business needs to technical requirements that will guide system implementation and integration

  • Ensure the team has the technical support needed to conduct complex A/B testing and web optimizations

  • Work closely with engagement, creative, and marketing teams to ensure we’re getting the most value possible out of our marketing automation, content management, and analytics systems

  • Manage cross-system integration needs and requirements

  • Setup A/B tests to effectively improve conversion rate optimization

  • Set-up field mappings within HubSpot, SalesForce, Personify, and other integrated systems

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Marketing, Business, or equivalent years of experience.

  • Three years of CRM experience, Microsoft Dynamics preferred.

  • Microsoft suite including advanced Excel skills.

  • General concept of relational databases.

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in sales/email automation software such as Outreach, Hubspot, Salesforce, Marketo, etc.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and time-management skills

  • Understanding of inbound marketing methodology

  • Basic HTML knowledge

  • A high commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Phenomenal organizational skills

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Experience        

  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of initiative and enthusiasm

  • Good business acumen and strategic thinking

  • Great planner and organizer

  • Critical thinking, attention to detail and bias for action

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage and oversee agencies and vendor partnerships

  • HubSpot and/or SalesForce Certifications, or ability to obtain

  • Knowledge of basic SQL, HTML/CSS - a big plus

  • Experience in marketing subscription-based products in a highly competitive educational industry and/or the retail education industry

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Normal demands associated with a deadline-driven office environment.
