The Nightingale-Bamford School seeks a Systems Technician to assist the Network Administrator in monitoring and maintaining the network and wireless computer systems. Additionally, the Systems Technician will assist in supporting various aspects of network administration that include servers, desktop systems, IP Phones, network hardware/software, office systems and technical support for all faculty and staff.

The Systems Technician will report to the Director of Technology and coordinate all efforts with the Network Administrator when providing administrative and academic technology support and services to faculty and students in both physical and virtual learning spaces.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
Experience in supporting computer networks within an educational institution that is multi-platform (Windows and Macs).
Excellent organizational, independent, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Experience with Active Directory, WiFi platforms, VPN systems, Blackbaud Education SIS, MDM systems, VMWare Server environment and Apple products iOS is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:

Support Network Administrator in managing e-mail, print, network, and backup servers.
Provide some after-hours and on-call duty support for community wide events that require technology assistance.
Assist with Helpdesk emails, Blackbaud, Follett, Google Services, Learning Management System (Moodle), and iPad technical issues.
Work with Network Administrator and School Technology Consultant in maintaining and upgrading the school's network hardware (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, and servers) and software.
Support Network Administrator in managing disaster recovery, continuity planning, and network documentation for all physical and virtual servers.
Monitor the warranty coverage and reliability of all network servers.
