The Cox Library seeks a Technical Services Librarian who will become part of the Library Department Team. This position will report to the Director of the Cox Library and assist the other librarians in their work.
Essential Responsibilities:

Act as the point person for Middle School research classes, coordinating Database oversight, including troubleshooting, preparing tutorials on use, researching new databases to meet Middle and Upper School research needs, and coordinating the EZProxy updates with ATS.
Act as point person for the library’s social media by maintaining overall website, ensuring the Twitter and Instagram feeds have regular, dynamic content.
Oversee the general creation of the resource guides by monitoring the overall look to maintain Cox/Milton identity, providing link checking and resource replacement suggestions and maintaining the AZ Database page.
Serve as the primary support/contact for Integrated Library System, training the librarians on all aspects of the system, running reports, troubleshooting issues.
Work with ATS to ensure that all computers are working correctly and oversee upgrades and migration to a Chromebook environment in AY17.
Promote digital resources/presence to faculty and students; recommend new programs and apps.
Train the librarians in the use of Canva or other tools to create tutorials and flipped library instruction; lead training sessions on database use, tips/tricks for faculty and students.
Provide reference assistance for all Cox Library users.

Candidate for this position should hold a Master’s of Library Science degree from an ALA or NCATE accredited institution. The preferred candidate will already have Middle or Upper School library experience, ideally in an independent school, specifically working with digital resources, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty.
