Supporting Faculty/ Staff and Students in implementing technology that will create an education environment that provides one-to-one devices for user, collaborative classroom, and distance mediated instructional settings.
 

Evaluate and select technology such as computers, a/v equipment, network equipment, software, and tools in collaboration, as appropriate, with technology committee; order technology per campus procedure to ensure timely delivery, installation, and operations.

Perform related duties as assigned, be available to cover emergency calls as needed to maintain 24 by 7 operations.

 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science.

 

Technical certifications (A+, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA or CCNP etc.) and/or experience in an IT support role a plus.

 

Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary.

 

Must have expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

 

Extensive experience, well documented in resume/cover letter, may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement above. Desirable Qualifications Work experience in information technology. Experience as a high school, or community college and/or industry/corporate technologist.

Two years of experience in a commercial, industrial, scientific, or educational computer environment.

Use of education-based software, such as Blackbaud On-Products, Mosyle Software, Apple Classroom.

Experience with Adobe Software, Microsoft servers and operating system, Linux Servers/operating system, Google Apps, Drupal Web Software, Microsoft Active Directory/LDAP, and cloud computing environments

Experience with A/V technologies, conference/auditorium A/V systems, and video conferencing.

Evidence of ability to work successfully in a team environment.

Familiarity with trends in business, industry, and the private sector use of technology.

Experience working with culturally diverse client population.

Be involved with community related projects, such as participating in liaison and outreach activities with other high schools, industry, and the community.
